On March 19, the cutterhead of the "Quanxing No. 1" shield machine broke ground, and the left line of the Quancheng Park Station ~ Qianfoshan Station of the 06 Work Area of Jinan Rail Transit Line 4 undertaken by the 14th Bureau of China Railway was successfully completed.

The first phase of the project of Line 4 Quancheng Park Station ~ Qianfoshan Station is extended through the east and west of Shilu to lay, with a length of about 1040 meters, and the shield machine needs to pass through the 800-meter-long full-section dolomite strata, which is mixed with nearly 200 karst caves, which is the section with the most karst caves for the entire Line 4, and the rock surface is uneven throughout the whole process, which is easy to lead to the wear of shield cutters.

In order to ensure the smooth progress of shield tunneling, the project department strengthened process control, increased the frequency of tool inspection, and relied on advanced geological forecasting technology and intelligent management platform to conduct all-round scanning of the front of the tunnel, and investigated the "lesions" that may threaten shield tunneling one by one, so as to escort construction and production.
Up to now, 21 stations of the first phase of Line 4 have achieved the capping of the main structure, 9 stations are in the main structure construction stage, 3 stations are undergoing earthwork excavation construction, and 21 shield sections have been double-line tunneling. After the completion of the project, it will greatly alleviate the traffic pressure of Jingshi Road, effectively connect Jinan West Railway Station, CBD, Olympic Sports Center, Jinan Area of Shandong Pilot Free Trade Zone and other important urban functional areas, and strengthen the east-west connection of the city.
