It is learned from Qingdao housing and urban rural development bureau that recently, work area 01 of Qingdao Metro Line 2 phase II project successfully passed the acceptance of commencement conditions. So far, all six work areas of the phase II project of Metro Line 2 have entered the construction stage, which is also the first line in the phase III construction project of Qingdao Metro.
The phase II project of Metro Line 2 is an important part of the phase III construction line of Qingdao Metro. It is also the backbone line of the east bank urban area. It starts from Licun Park Station (not included) and ends at Expo Park station. The total length of the line is 8.9km, including 8 stations and 10 sections. Xiawangbu station is the transfer station of line 15, and Expo Park station is the transfer station of existing line 11. The completion of the line will effectively improve the traffic level of the Expo Park and surrounding areas, and help the development and construction of key low efficiency areas in Qingdao.
